Opinicus charges an annual management fee, comprised of a household “base” planning / service program fee plus a tiered asset-based fee on assets under management (AUM). This is contrary to the industry norm of combining planning and asset management under a single AUM rate, where households with larger portfolios inevitably subsidize the planning / service time of households with smaller portfolios. We believe large portfolio size does not equate to higher complexity and service time. As such, Opinicus’ style of quantifying the planning / service program as a “base” cost prevents client subsidization. It also allows us to keep our costs as low as possible for affluent families.
Household Linking – Multi-generational families may link households between parents, children, and grandchildren to reach the $10M asset-based fee breakpoint. Each household must select and pay their own WAC Program base cost.
